in this tutorial, I will show the Complete Guide Noise Pollution detector Circuit Design Using CA3130.

We are constantly in the grip of this noise pollution. Noise pollution is seen in various ways on the roads. Noise pollution causes various diseases in the human body. This noise pollution has a bad effect on the human brain and various senses of the body and even many senses are not working properly.

This circuit plays an important role in protecting us from the effects of noise pollution. There are several LED in this circuit. These LED are used to measure sound and there is a buzzer which will signal through the noise at the output if there is any noise pollution. Since this circuit protects us from the effects of noise pollution. So it is very important for us.

≡ Component and working details:

01. IC:

In this circuit we use are different three types of IC. They are IC1-7809, IC2-CA3130, and IC3- LM3914. The IC1-7809 Voltage regulator type of self-contained set linear voltage regulator integrated circuit.

There are 3 pins in this IC they are pin1-Input, pin2-Common, pin3-Output. This is a 9 volt IC with a 9 volt supply in the circuit. The IC2-CA3130 are op amps that join the advantage of both CMOS and bipolar transistors.

There are 8 pins in this IC they are pin1 is Offset null, Pin2-Inverting, pin3-Non Inverting, pin4 is ground connection negative voltage, pin5 is Offset, pin6 is the Output voltage, pin7 is positive voltage(+vcc) and pin8 is a Strobe. The IC LM3914 is one class of integrated circuit, mainly worked to activate displays that visually display an analog signal’s magnitude.

There are 16 pins in this IC they are gradually LED1, Negative voltage(-v), Positive voltage(+v), Divider Low End(RLO), Signal Input, Divider High End(RHI), Reference Output(REFOUT), Reference Adjust(REFADJ), Model select, LED-10, LED-09, LED-08, LED-07, LED-06, LED-05, LED-04, LED-03, LED-02, LED-01.

02. Resistor:

Resistors are worked in virtually all electronic circuits and many electrical ones. Resistors, as their name means resist the flow of electricity. In this circuit, we use 10 resistors. They are R1-10K, R2-12K, R3-10K, R4-10K, R5-10M, R6-27K, R7-10K, R8-4.7K, R9-1K, and R10-5K Resistor.

03. Capacitor:

A capacitor is a device that collects electrical energy in an electric field. The job of a capacitor is to hold a charge. This ability to hold a charge is called capacitance. In this circuit, we use a different types of capacitors. They are C1-1000mu,25V, C2-0.1mu, C3-0.1mu, C4-0.22mu, C5- 4.7mu-25v, C6-1mu-16V, C7-2.2mu-16V.

04. Diode:

A diode is a semiconductor device that actually acts as a one-way switch for current. It permits current to flow easily in one direction but severely restricts current from flowing in the opposite direction. In this circuit we use only 3-pich diode they are D1-1N4148, D2-1N4148, D3- 1N4001.

05. LED:

A light-emitting diode (LED) is a semiconductor light. In this circuit, we use a 10-pich LED.

06. Transistor:

A transistor is a semiconductor device utilized to amplify or switch electronic signals and electrical power. In this circuit, we use BC547 on-pich transistor.

07. Buzzer:

Piezo buzzers are simple devices that can generate basic beeps and tones. They work by using a piezo crystal, a special material that changes shape when a voltage applied to it. This is an output device. It refers to its location through the output beep. And In this circuit, we use a COND-MIC.

≡ How to work Noise Pollution detector CA3130 circuit:

The entire circuit of the noise meter designed and fabricated using a sound intensity sensor and display unit. In this circuit, we use some electronics equipment. They are some different type (IC), some different type resistor, some different type capacitor, some different color (LED), Diode, transistor, piezo buzzer, condenser microphone, and e.t.c.

There are three IC in the circuit. IC-1 (7809) is a regulator IC that controls the voltage across the circuit. And supplies 9 volts of power to the circuit. The circuit condenser microphone connected to 2 pins of Op-Amp IC CA-3130 which is mainly used as a sensor for sound meter.

The inverting and non-inverting input given to operational amplifier IC (IC2) from pin 2 and pins 3 respectively. Where output from pin 6 of IC2 connected the inverting input for negative feedback through resistor R5. IC CA-3130 IC 4 pin is a negative voltage and 5 pin is the positive voltage supply. And other IC LM-3914 is an integrated circuit, that’s senses analog voltage levels and drives 10 LEDs, giving a linear analog display.

In this IC 10 pin is here those are the pins 1 and 10 to 18 pin is an output pin. Pin 2 is (+v) positive voltage supply in this circuit. Pin 3 is (-v) negative voltage supply in this circuit. the Pin 4 is (RLO) pin, this pin work low-level voltage used for a potential divider. In The Pin 5 is (Signal) pin, this is an analog pin .

This work is an analog signal based on which the LED is the controller. Pin 6 is (RHI) HighLevel voltage used for the potential dividers. Pin 7 is (REF OUT) this pin Reference voltage of output for limiting the LED current. the Pin 8 is (REF ADJ) this pin is an Adjust pin used for voltage reference. Pin 9 is Mode pin, Choose among Dot, or Bar Mode. This is how this circuit works.
