Components List


To make this project, We need some electronics components. So Let’s go collect some components for working methods.

  1. NPN Transistor (BC547)
  2. LDR (Light Dependent Resistor)
  3. Resistors (10K, 1K, 330ohm)
  4. Relay (12V DC).
  5. AC Light/Lamp

Automatic street light controller circuit using LDR

This circuit connection is very easy. If you can make this circuit then follow this circuit diagram. In this circuit, we use some components. LDR sensor connects a positive terminal (+5v), another pin connect NPN transistor base pin, and a 10k resistor connects the ground. The transistor emitter pin has always connected to the ground. And collector pin with this 1k resistor connects another transistor base pin and the collector pin with this resistor connects positive voltage.

Another transistor collector pin connects a LED negative pin and LED positive pin to connect the 1k resistor and resistor connect positive voltage. Resistor to connect Relay module anode pin and cathode pin connect transistor collector pin. Relay Common pin directly connect the AC line, and N/O pin connect AC load to AC line.

Transistor: A transistor is a semiconductor device used to amplify or switch electronic signals and electrical power. In this circuit, we use the BC547 (NPN) transistor.

LDR: LDR stands for Light Dependent Resistor or Photoresistor, which is a passive electronic component, basically a resistor which has a resistance.

Resistor: Resistors are used in virtually all electronic circuits and many electrical ones. Resistors, as their name indicates resist the flow of electricity

Relay: A relay is an electrically operated switch. It consists of a set of input terminals for a single or multiple control signals, and a set of operating contact terminals.


≡ Why we make this circuit


The reason we can use this circuit is that using this circuit will make our life much easier. The main function of this circuit is that it can detect darkness at the input but will automatically turn on the load of the output and keep the output load off if the input does not have this condition. If we want, we can use this circuit in our homes, offices, street headlights.
